Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks cannot possibly hope to rely on the receiving core that they did last season. Likewise, Julius Jones is not a viable option to rely on at running back this year. The Seahawks were only able to win 5 games last season and need to make some major changes if they hope to make any difference in the outcome of the upcoming season.

The Seahawks have 2 first-rounders, including the 6th pick in the draft. It now looks likely that Garret McCoy will fall all the way to the this spot, which would be a steal for the Seahawks considering the fact that he was projected to be a top two pick earlier in the offseason. It seems a no brainer for the Seahawks to pick him up here.

With the 14th pick in the first round the Seahawks pick will be largely dictated by teams with picks before them. If Dez Bryant is passed up on he would be a great receiving option for the Seahawks, but it is difficult to say if he will fall to them.

In case of Dez Bryant not being available the Seahawks could take a chance on CJ Spiller from Clemson. Spiller is a speedy running back with the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. He may not be a running back that substitutes as a work horse but he could aid in the running and passing game instantly…perhaps playing a Reggie Bush type of role for the Seahawks.

In the late 2nd round the Seahawks will be able to pick up Montario Hardesty at running back. If the ‘Hawks can pick up Hardesty, Bryant and McCoy in this draft, it will be a successful one for them.
