Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers sat at the cellar of their division last season, winning just 3 games on the season. They were bad offensively and week defensively, leaving a lot of room for improvement during the off season.

Quarterback and wide receiver are obvious question marks for the Bucs this year as their leading receiver was actually tight end Kellen Winslow.  The problem with this is that Winslow had less than 900 yards receiving. The season was good for a tight end, but not what you look for in your top receiver.  Although quarterback is a question mark, it is likely that the Bucs will give Josh Freeman a chance to run the show this season.

The defensive line is also a problem for the Bucs. With such a high pick in the first round the Bucs will have the opportunity to either fill a hole on the defensive line or even at quarterback. Though there is a hole at quarterback it is likely that the Bucs will take one of the great defensive linemen available. The most highly touted pick would be Ndamukong Suh. There are also other solid linemen available here if Suh is not such as Gerald McCoy or Jason Pierre Paul.

Luckily for the Bucs they’ll have more opportunities to improve their team early in the draft as they have hold of two early second round picks: the third and tenth in the second round. It is likely that they’ll take another defensive lineman such as Carlos Dunlap or Eversen Griffen if he is available.

With the 10th pick in the 2nd round the Bucs will definitely be looking for a top notch receiver. The Bucs lost former number 1 receiver Antonio Bryant to the Bengals and will need a solid guy to fill that role. Look for Damian Williams of USC or Brandon LaFell of LSU to be picked here.
