Philadelphia Eagles visit New York Giants in NFC East battle
The Philadelphia Eagles will head to New York to take on the Giants on Sunday.
This should be one of the most intense matchups of the season. These two teams have already met up once and had a very tough battle. The Eagles managed to come out on top with a 27-17 victory in their last matchup.
The New York Giants are the 2.5 point favorites in NFL football betting odds and the total for the game currently is sitting at 46.
The Giants have now won three games in a row after losing to the Eagles and are tied for the division lead. In their last matchup the Giants did a great job of keeping Michael Vick in the pocket. The Giants need to make sure that they continue with this game plan. While Vick does have a 104 quarterback rating, he is all the more dangerous when he gets into the open field.
The Eagles managed to pull it out last time by capitalizing on the Giants’ emphasis on containing Vick. McCoy managed to break free for a couple of long runs to seal the victory in the late stages of the game. They will need McCoy to step up again this week.
The Giants could have a chance to take advantage of the Eagles in the secondary as they are just 17th in the league in pass defense. If they can get their pass offense going, they should have a great chance to win with the way their running game has been recently.
