Minnesota Vikings take on New York Giants
The Minnesota Vikings will take on the New York Giants this weekend. The Giants are 8-4 on the season and look like one of the top teams in the league. Meanwhile, the Vikings have been a very mediocre team that has underachieved with a 5-7 record this season.
The Giants will be the 2-point favorites in NFL Week 14 odds. The total for the game is currently off.
The Vikings have been mediocre all season, but they did have a spark last week that we haven’t seen in a while. Adrian Peterson looked phenomenal and the team was able to find Sidney Rice for deep passes a few times. The Vikings did not have Favre in the game during this stretch as he was injured. It will be interesting to see if the Vikings can get back on track with Favre in the lineup next week.
The Giants have won 2 games in a row and are tied for the division lead with the Eagles. They will be playing on the road where they are 3-2 on the season. The Vikings are a fantastic home team, winning 13 of their last 15 games at home and should be ready for New York. They have won 4 of their last 5 games against New York overall.
This game will come down to the rushing games of both teams. Both teams operate much more efficiently when they can move the ball on the ground. However, both teams are relatively stingy in their run defense. This should be a good battle between these two teams.
