New Orleans Saints visit Dallas Cowboys in NFL Thanksgiving Classic

The New Orleans Saints will take on the Dallas Cowboys this week in a Thanksgiving Day game (4:30 pm ET, FOX).

The Cowboys are traditionally on the bill for the Thanksgiving game, but there is less on the line this year with the poor performance of the Cowboys. It will be interesting to see if the team can respond to a new coach after the firing of Wade Phillips.

The New Orleans Saints are 7-3 on the season while the Cowboys are 3-7.

The Saints will be the 3 point favorites in NFL Betting with the total for the game currently at 50.

While the Cowboys have struggled this season, they should not be overlooked. They certainly have all of the talent necessary to win games, they simply have not been able to pull it all together yet. The Cowboys have been especially pleased with the emergence of Dez Bryant. Bryant has really looked like a receiver with star potential over the last few games.

The Saints are finally rounding into shape and may be even more dangerous than last year. While they have not been explosive offensively, they have a defense that is only allowing 17 points a game on the season. With their defense playing at that level they have a chance to go all the way again this season.

New Orleans has won 5 of the last 6 against Dallas, but they have struggled when playing the Cowboys on the road. They have won just 2 of their last 7 road games against the Cowboys.
