Baltimore Ravens visit Atlanta Falcons
The Baltimore Ravens will head to Atlanta to take on the Falcons this Thursday night (8:20 pm ET, NFL Network).
These two teams will square off in what should be one of the best matchups that the season has shown to this point. Each team is 6-2 on the season and has shown flashes of playoff potential.
The Falcons are the 1.5 point favorites in this matchup and the over/under is at 43.5.
The Falcons will take the field with confidence as they will be at home. The Falcons have only been an average team outside of Atlanta this season, but at home they have been unbeatable. The Falcons have a perfect 4-0 record while playing in Atlanta.
The Ravens are also more of a “home” team than a team that goes and dominates their opponents on the road to this point. They have won all of their home games on the year. Meanwhile, they have managed to take home wins in 2 out of 4 games on the road.
The Raves have been solid on offense and defense, but they have not been dominant. One of the keys for the Ravens to this point in the season has been their ability to win close games. They have won 3 games already by a margin of 3 points or less. With these two solid teams playing it could go down to the wire. This close game experience could give Baltimore the edge this Thursday.
The key for Atlanta will be establishing the running game early. The Ravens have a solid defense, but if they can establish the running game early on they may be able to open up the field.
