NFL Preview: Green Bay Packers at New York Jets
The Green Bay Packers will take on the New York Jets this week. The matchup will take place in New York. The Jets will be the 6 point favorites in this game. The over/under for the game currently sits at 42.
The Packers managed to pull out a win last week against the Vikings, but they have still not looked like the team that many expected them to be coming into the season. Aaron Rodgers was an absolute force last season for the Packers. He managed a quarterback rating of 103 on the season and only threw 7 picks. This season he has already thrown more picks (9) than he did all of last season.
The Jets have an excellent secondary and Rodgers will need to bring his best game if they hope to challenge the Jets and their defense.
The Packers will need to do more than just bring a passing game against the Jets however. They will need to boost their rushing defense. The Packers have allowed 124 yards per game this season on the ground and they will be facing an offense that averages almost 160 yards per game on the ground. The tandem of Tomlinson and Greene has been excellent and they will be difficult to stop.
The Jets are already 5-1 on the season and they will have a chance to pull further away from their opponents with a win. Meanwhile, the Packers will need to pick up a win in this game to become real playoff contenders.
