Cleveland Browns vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – NFL Preview
On Sunday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will take on the Cleveland Browns to start off the 2010 NFL season. Truth be told, these teams aren’t towards the top of the NFC. Two of the teams that are expected to finish towards the bottom of the league will feature in this game.
For these two struggling organizations, the good news is that one of them will get to start off the season with a win. Towards giving one of these teams the momentum, a win could go a long way that they need to improve upon their seasons last year.
The Browns, with their team have a very apparent problem. Jake Delhomme is the one they are starting with. For the Panthers for years, Delhomme was the quarterback and he did not finish well. Towards the end of his tenure in Carolina, he really struggled and showed no signs of bouncing back. The Browns will be in for a long season, if they are relying on him to win games.
For years now, it seems like the Bucs have been mired in mediocrity. At the helm, they have a young quarterback, now that may be able to rescue them out in time. Unfortunately, he doesn’t look ready to carry the team to the playoffs just yet. If the Bucs are to have any chance at making a playoff run in 2010, they will need a miracle to take place.
For each team, this game will be an important one, as they may not have many more chances at victory for the rest of the season.
