Baltimore Ravens @ Cincinnati Bengals Sunday 1:00 PM on CBS
The Cincinnati Bengals and the Baltimore Ravens will face off on Sunday, Spetember 19, in the Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati. The Bengals won both meetings last season between these two teams so the Baltimore Ravens will be looking for revenge.
When these teams played last year the Bengals won with a 17-7 victory and had a lot of success in stopping the running game of Baltimore. Cincinnati also had their way with the running game, going over 146 yards rushing. The second meeting was a bit closer but still went to the Bengals with a 17-14 victory. Once again the Bengals went to their rushing game and pounded out 142 yards.
This season, the Ravens are coming off of a win while the Bengals are recovering from a loss. Their quarterback Carson Palmer completed 34 of 50 passes last week for a couple touchdowns and 345 passing yards. Ochocinco led in the receiving department but Terrell Owens had 7 catches and the rookie Jordan Shipley even had 5 catches, one of those for 51 yards. Their running game, however, was shut down completely by the Patriots.
Even though Flacco didn’t have the most impressive first week of the season, look for him to come out strong and for a close game between these two teams. The Ravens have an impressive defense led by Ray Lewis and the Bengals will have to overcome that in order to pull off a win.
Football betting odds have the Ravens favored by 1 point and the over/under at 38 1/2 points.
