NFL minicamps: Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys have had a great start to their off season with their mini camps. There is one situation that has made a lot of news this off season and that has continued through their minicamp. This involves the Cowboys‘ wide receivers both the veterans as well as the new rookies coming onto the team.
This talk of the wide receivers for the Dallas Cowboys isn’t a new thing. Last year there was much to be said about who was the top receiver in Dallas as Miles Austin was outperforming Williams, their star receiver.
Williams has had much to say about how he is still the top guy on the team despite the acquisition of rookie Dez Bryant in the NFL Draft.
Bryant has impressed so far this offseason in the Cowboys’ minicamp. He was one of the 26 young players invited to participate in the camp. His physical skills were not the only impressive part of minicamp for Bryant.
In the minicamp Bryant managed to push aside a controversy that has surfaced around his NFL Draft interview. In the interview Bryant was asked inappropriate questions regarding his mother. During minicamp he managed to push aside those questions in an attempt to start with a clean slate and worry only about football. This sort of maturity is encouraging for the receiver as he joins a team that has been known to harbor receivers that are less than content. Look for Williams to be a great receiver in the NFL for the Dallas Cowboys.
