NFL Mini Camp Recap: Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos are one of the most followed teams in the NFL this offseason. Much of that has to do with their surprising draft choice. In the first round the Denver Broncos picked Tim Tebow. Tebow has had America’s attention for years at Florida, but was not seen as a stellar NFL prospect. As the draft approached a few teams seemed to be interested in moving up to get Tebow and the Broncos picked him up.

Football betting favorite, Tebow has looked good so far in mini camp, but he is by no means the favorite to start this season. Entering mini camp it appears that he is 4th on the depth chart of the Denver Broncos. He has been working out in regular passing drills, but it is expected to this point that he will fill in as the quarterback for the wildcat formation during season play.

His mechanics and footwork look have looked improved in his mini camp play, but it appears that he still has some work to do. Coaches are very encouraged by his ability to make adjustments to his game and are excited to see how he can contribute to the team.

The secondary for the Broncos has been impressive to this point in camp. It appears that they will be the anchor to their defense.

The Broncos were missing both of their drafted receivers from camp, Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker. These receivers were injured, but they are both expected to return from their injuries shortly.
