NFL – The Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys are a professional team that is currently a part of the Eastern Division and plays in the National Football League. They have won a number of Super Bowls with teams such as the San Francisco 49ers and enjoyed some intense rivalries.
In 1960, the Cowboys franchise was first created as a part of the NFL‘s expansion efforts. Winning 21 Division Championships and 10 Conference Championships, the Cowboys remained a strong presence in their division, over the years. They won the Super Bowl in 1971, 1977, 1992, 1993, and 1995.
With 20, the Dallas Cowboys have more consecutive winning seasons than any other football team out there right now including other franchise records. They have 8 Super Bowl appearances, 14 NFC Championship Games, a record along with the most games in the playoffs with 56 among many others.
In 1960, the Cowboys first started playing in the Cotton Bowl but moved to the Texas Stadium in 1971. Until a brand new stadium was built in 2009, they remained there for almost four decades.
The Dallas Cowboys still boast about 7 Super Bowl MVP awards and have won only five super bowls. There are also a number of players that have been inducted into the Hall of Fame including Randy White, Michael Irvin, Tony Dorsett, Roger Stauback, Bob Lilly, Troy Aikman and many others.
Right now they are going through bit of a rebuilding stage, after releasing Terrell Owens last year and are still looking to Tony Romo to tighten up the offense.
